♥하루 100 - In Sabah, I

So you know I was at sabah for a week this year end holiday (which is ending soon grr) and the main purpose is our  annual missionary trip to the rural highland areas. The 3 days 2 nights time spent in kampung Melangkap Kapa was really fun (and coooldddd). From my perspective, it feels like we've learned and experienced more than us teaching or serving the people there. Also, thank God for the Sabah grapevine church members who're very well prepared and look, we've so much more to learn from them! (ﾟ´▽`ﾟ)

In Sabah, I

1) Went to Kampung Melangkap Kapa to serve the people thereヾ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ彡

2) Stayed next to the top of Mount Kinabalu *wahh*

3) Spent a (coooolddd) night in a mongolian yurt (aka mongolian pau)

4) Made a (grumpy) new friend ಠ_ಠ

5) Went to New Zealand (Oppa Sabah Styled)

6) Feed cows and goats (*⌒∇⌒*) mooo

oops paiseh not this HAHAHAHA

7) Witnessed the beauty of mother nature ♡＾▽＾♡

8)Visited the Philippine market

9) Tried new noms! ╰（￣▽￣）╭ #glutton

10) Blurrrpp

11) Tried the traditionally charcoal roasted babi hutan ಠ_ಠ

12) Discovered hidden music talents (went on a band tour around sabah) note: accompanied by shumshum's out of tune ukelele (╬ﾟдﾟ)

13) Went island hopping

14) Levitated (cause walking is too mainstream)

and levitated..

and levitated.

Ok I guess that's all peeps! Sabah turned out to be a pretty fun place to go on a vacation, esp their highlands like kundasang (that is, if you tahan lasak enough). However, there's still so many kampung areas out there who needs missionary help and support and if I could have the chance again, I would definitely try my best to give my all to serve these people in need. The experience is amazing ;) yes, even more than just going on a vacation that is only beneficial for our own entertainment reasons.

♥하루 99 - Homemade bluecheese beef/chicken burger! yum

grrr that is not 100% true ok I'm not that gluttonous ಠ_ಠ

Wassup! It has been awhile since my sister, Joyce(et) came across an online blue cheese stuffed buffalo burger recipe that made her drool mentally and caused me craving for big, fat burgers (*⊙‿⊙*) So one day we actually planned beforehand to make some burgers in the morning and go for a picnic by the lakeside with sukkie!  ☀


Unfortunately.. some of us are very lack of the capability to wake up on time and I forgot to de-froze the meat so in the end we didn't have a picnic (́≖◞౪◟≖‵) To cut the long story short, I made the patties and they turned out fabulous *ahem* HAHAHA JK. Anyway here's how: 

REMEMBER TO DE-FROZE THE MEAT A FEW HOURS BEFORE COOKING. ಠ_ಠ caramelize some onions and put them aside. I've bought ready-minced beef and chicken so you mix them with an egg, water, garlic (self preference. Dijon mustard is recommended too) and  sprinkle some salt and pepper then GRRRRILL THEM. This happened quite some time ago so I don't really remember the precise grilling steps and precautions (go google yourself) T_T Btw, melt a slice of cheese on the patty after grilling if you like. ♡＾▽＾♡ 

Then, slab on some butter and heat up your sesame burger buns! 

stuff some fresh lettuce leaves and tomato slices into the burger and you're done! ╰（￣▽￣）╭

AAAAAH DAH LAPAAAR. ㅎㅅㅎ

nom away with the sauces (in my case, chili sauce and flakes!) to your liking. ╭(╯ε╰)╮

HEHEHE. big fat burgers make me happy! (also guilty at the same time) ☹ But anyways, I've been wanting to try out My Burger Lab, which, I heard alot about from Joyceet. *hint hint* They're very well known for their charcoal buns and outstandingly juicy patties AND  perfectionist's grills. Also, thanks (or not) to the creation of internet, I'm always on the blast of cravings 24/7 because of those tempting high definition photos which see to every crumb and succulent bit of the dish T___T *tummy grumbles* 

Alrights late liao I'm going to bed now! It's the christmas season now (yay) and we just had door-to-door caroling. Hehehe it was really fun, the interesting festive hats and candles and merry songs and all. Too bad I'm going to miss the 2nd caroling session due to my grandpa's 100th birthday dinner on sunday. But it's my grandpa's ONE HUNDREDTH BIRTHDAY. SERATUS. 一百. IKR. WOW. Well, more about that soon!

♥하루 98 - For the shorty I love

This is on 31st of October, 2012.

It took me a long time to decide the title to this post. 

She's probably one of the world's top 10 most annoying people (Sukkie: "TOP ONE LA TOP TEN")

but I really thankyou, cha chi yan, for being with me through the thick and thins of these years.

BUT you're still really annoying. blergh ಠ_ಠ

HAHAHAHA.

And yes, you've no need to guess that the cake above is probably one of the baking gang's most successful cakes. Unfortunately, not the entire baking gang is involved because our baking base is at chi yan's house. So yeah, sukkie came over and we took a day to bake that T_T However, the outcome turned out so beautiful *flipshair* hehehe. 

It's a layered moist chocolate cake whoopie pie with roasted marshmellows for the filling!  (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

I love marshmellows. I love them even more big and fat ლ(́ಢ.◞౪◟ಢ‵ლ) ok hungry liao 

And theeen, we made the prettiest icing ever T_T (haha self-appreciation overdose)

Yeah basically its like that. There's still loads of space for improvement thou! Will post up a recipe when I've time, that is. HAHAHA. you see those marshmellows so obese like a man tou. (the pau)

We had a hard time to figuring out how to make the cookie monster's furry fur texture HAHAHA so many funny spiky icings but thanks to joyceet resolved to this and it turned out pretty well. ╰（￣▽￣）╭ J.co doughnuts for the eyes and sesame powder paste for the pupil ಠ_ಠ

Chipsmore chocolate chip cookies for the mouth! Ikr. ╭(╯ε╰)╮

The cake kind of tumbled down when we cut into it cause of the unsteady marshmellow layer but it is still edible. And very yummy too! nomnomnomomnom

Planning to bake something similiar again soon! Any ideas? (*⌒∇⌒*) Anyways. 2013 is just around the cooorner! How is it guys, any resolutions completed yet? I actually learned alot from big bro's sharing yesterday. How did I spend a year worthed of time? Every minute, or even a second gone will never come back again. Everyday is a "special" day (in reference to 12/12/12), the time spent will never rewind again. What else can I achieve in the 15 days left? What else can YOU achieve with the time left?

Anyway, hello there! How long has it been since the last time I updated T_T My holiday was pretty productive up till now and yes, my modem is finally re-installed! v^___^v I'm also back already from the sabah missionary trip and youth camp, which, I cannot believe is over. Time, why you pass so fast?! 

Also, yes, I promise to update on all the events that happened once the problem above is solved. If not, I would sincerely and also violently express how upset am I with blogger and will convert to wordpress without much more consideration. :'( I mean, what is a blog post with only a long string of words and nothing more? *sukkie agreeing* It's definitely less interesting and missing the point already. 

Anyhoo, if anyone know what can I do to NOT pay to upload photos in my posts *kiamsiap* pls do tell me asap I'm in a very desperate situation right now. so much to do yet so little time! Have I mention that I've started working in a kindergarten already hahah as usual lah my end-year holiday itinerary always consist of this. Currently taking care of 19 kids aged 2-4 every tuesday and thursday! Fun is fun la but imagine the chaos. Aiyah as long as the kids is safe under my care. hohohohoho
