♥하루 94 - Raju, Jalan Gasing @ PJ

Warning: food post food post!! droool alert!

Hello y'all! How was your week? I must say mine only consisted of mostly add math/physics, and is still not making any obvious progress.. ( ̄^ ̄) Srsly mad stressed for the upcoming end-year exam and I don't know what else can I do (besides studying, duh hahahah) other than putting everything unto daddy God father's hands. Talentime dance finals are tomorrow and also happy anniversary SMKKK! ╰( ̄▽ ̄)╭ May you achieve and improve in the future (esp your toilets pls)

So awhile ago on a very fine saturday afternoon aunty Irene brought us to Raju's which is situated just off Jalan Gasing next to La Salle secondary school for brunch after bible class. The place is extremely well-known for their crunchy roti canai (apparently they won champion in a roti canai competition *oooh*) and banana leaf rice so I'm really looking forward to trying them out, furthermore I had another of those authentic indian food cravings for curry and more curry. (like always) ㅎㅅㅎ

It was abit past mid noon when we arrived but thank God it was less packed so we found a spot easily.

Does anybody has any idea what is this? Sweet corn? Rolled up roti canai? ಠ_ಠ

And there's this wall painted with an old traditional chinese mural of waterfall and trees and mountains.

Absolutely looove the shady under-the-trees seatings they have! It's very cooling and also adds leaves to your meal hahahah. Thumbs up for the ambience there! ♡^▽^♡

Their waiters are all in very neat uniforms and are ever-ready to smile for the camera. (゚´▽`゚) They're also really friendly too! However, service is slower and less efficient compared to Kanna curry house.

#1 Banana leaf

#2 Choose your favourite freshly deep fried food dim-sum styled/ at their pick & choose station (pre-marinated/ various type of fish, squid, chicken, prawn, etc) where there will be someone to help you deep fry your stuff and you can eat it steaming hot! A plus point cause if they cook it fresh for you, it would be more hygienic (*⌒∇⌒*)

#2 ½ Eat it if you're too hungry hahahah

#3 Serving of three assortment of vegetables

#4 Rice

#5 Papadum!! (◉◞౪◟◉)

#6 And lastly banjirkan your rice with fish curry, chicken curry or dhall.

And dig in! ヾ(゚∀゚*)ノ彡 Well call me a jakun but when I was told that the vegetables, rice, papadum and curry is available unlimited flow, it's like the most amazing news I've ever heard. I mean, Rm 5.50 for a banana leaf set and everything is refill-able? I admit I started plotting schemes involving containers and tupperwares in bags. HAHAHAHA.

The very well known roti canai! I've no idea how to judge but I guess it's pretty yummy considering reviews from alot of blogs and the price it is selling at.╭(╯ε╰)╮ And knowing I'm not much help, here I quote kuanfoodfetish.com :

"True to Raju’s reputation for awesome roti canai, I was in heaven. The roti canai here is fluffy yet the texture is thin. It’s not greasy at all, a good sigh that it’s fresh. Fragrant with a tangy sweetness.
Pour some curry ikan (fish curry) onto it and maybe a laddle of dal and voila, finger licking goodness!"

There's also indian vendor selling delicious dry snacks from his motorcycle outside Raju and I've been hearing alot about his amazing kacang putih! (*⌒∇⌒*)

#Foreveralone noone to selca with, so I found izumi, who still looks really cute even when she sleeps ㅎㅅㅎ hahahah!

then sukkie came along! #LifeTimeAchievement (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Honestly saying, mamak stalls and curry houses are probably my most favourite restaurants ever considering their food forever always gerenti satisfaction and moreover, cheap. Can have a full meal with Rm 5 only! *kiam siap mode: ON* I cannot verbally describe how much I love indian food, and one point is that I can stay alive with only rice and curry everyday! ಠ_ಠ (Well I think I can hahahah yum yumm) Going to bug big bro to bring me back to raju/kanna curry house someday eeeee cravings cravings! ╰( ̄▽ ̄)╭ Thank you aunty Irene for bringing us there! It was a wonderful meal ;)

goodnight!

♥하루 93 - Shah Alam Sings with GMB Community & Kelvin Lim of 1AM

Hi! How are you guys doing? I feel horrible only updating once weekly but I guess it has to be this way until november. ☹ Grace is going to fight the exam monster!!╭(╯ε╰)╮*put on big bro's face* (inside joke) Anyway, I finally participated in a gotong-royong after all these years (besides those in school that we're forced to go and finally end up playing) on a very fine saturday morning today! (*⌒∇⌒*)

We cleaned a compound in an apartment area at Sri muda so that the environment is safer and cleaner not only for praise dance purposes, but also for the people living there. Well it definitely feels good doing something and contributing for the community. (゚´▽`゚) I also learned how to get rid of tough wild grass the most effective way and NOT scream when I see centipedes/earthworms/caterpillars(BUT EWWWW SRSLY). Also went to the sri muda market after all these yeeears and bought homemade kuihs for my family gagaga all of them look so yummy! ㅎㅅㅎ

So back to the topic! Newlife shah alam is very honored to host a wonderful muscial event "Shah Alam Sings" where five churches from all around shah alam come together to experience a deeper level of praise and worship with an amazing band GMBC from Jakarta, Indonesia. GMBC stands for Giving My Best Community. ╰( ̄▽ ̄)╭ A very special plus point, Kelvin Lim of 1 AM is also one of the guests that night. 1 AM stands for 1 Accord ministry and is the worship & creative arm of a church called Eaglepoint. Their vision statement is "Worship Brings Change" and they're also very active in the ministry to fight against human trafficking. (More about 1AM click here) ♪♬

Ok let's see! ☺

GMB Community band! They're all really good looking and humorous, hahahaha. The thumbs up is for the Malaysian food and for our country! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

The crowd anticipated and excited!

And they started with a round of absolutely amazing worship. even if the LCD is facing some technical errors but I enjoyed listening to them and humming along to the melody hehehehe

"But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress." Psalms 59:16

Next up, Kelvin Lim of 1AM! ヾ(゚∀゚*)ノ彡He looks alooot more younger than his age! He's still young, bubbly and lively, sharing to us about his life experiences and how God has lead his way through depression and pain. He also shared to us on information about human trafficking which is increasing rapidly annually. I find myself really thankful to existence of people and organizations like them, protecting and fighting against wrongdoings which might just happen to our close acquaintances or even ourselves.

He performed a few songs he composed and wrote himself for 1AM albums. He has an amaaazing voice! ;)

And then we ended with another round of praise and worship by GMBC! Couldn't get enough of them, can we

Everyone was singing aloud to the words of praise and dancing to the rhythm of worship ahaha! I've to take off my sneakers because they kept slipping off when I jumped. (yay time for new sneakers) we had so much fun! ♡^▽^♡

Solo performanceee! \☺/

And then everybody started to form this looong choo choo train queue and ran around the hall! HAHAHA

"We want more! We want more! We want more!"

Ending prayer by Ps. Tham with our hearts filled with gratitude of the satisfaction of worshipping, for experiencing the Holy Spirit once again.

After everything ended, we thick skinnedly requested for photographs hahahah eeeek! And thank you to sukkie for being our professional loyal camerawoman! I photoshopped sukkie into these three photos but there's only one saved and the other two disappeared. T___T super sad spent the night editing *cries*

The only one left! ☹ hahahah thanks sukkie! ;)

And Happy Malaysia Day y'all! Just came back for IPC and desa parkcity, it was a really wonderful sunday. Tired but happy! ヾ(゚∀゚*)ノ彡Thank you kanglim and euniceet for bringing us around :p HAHAHA. Prepared things for picnic by the lakeside tomorrooow with Joyceet and Sukkie! So excitedddd! Making beef burgers (♥ ♥ ♥ ♥) etc etc ok don't jeles all of y'all. I know you are! ahem :p Wahahaha! And yes, I do have a conscience to study. Did add math today and I'm so glad I understood a few parts of chapter 9. ㅎㅅㅎ Aaah, jia you everybody! God bless!

Goodnight!
